YPG-635 & iPad Mini

I am seeking some advice on the most affordable way to connect my Yamaha YPG-635 to my iPad Mini for use with apps like Garage Band and Mobile Seq.

This keyboard has USB, not standard MIDI.

Can anyone provide some info?

Thanks, I know how to use Google. Most of the returned searches are useless. I was hoping for someone with experience here to answer.

The YPG-635 is an older unit that is not an iOS (iPad, MINI, iPhone) compatible device. In order for a device to be compatible, it must be able to work with the software "drivers" that are built-in to the iOS operating system, and the YPG-635 can not do that. However, you can connect it to a PC or laptop or MAC by downloading and installing the latest special drivers from the Yamaha Support site:
