Space music help

I'm interested in making/creating space music, Could someone give me a idea about what I need to get started? I'm on a semi tight budget. Any info would be greatly appreciated

What do you mean by "space music"? Not all astronauts like the same styles of music.

If you want to create electronic music with synthesizers, all you really need is a computer, a free DAW, and a free soft synth or two. You don't even need a keyboard controller, because you can use your mouse to enter notes and other types of MIDI events into the tracks. I just wish someone had told me that 20 years ago!

The music he quoted is the opening of Also Spach Zarathustra, which was used extensively in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. If you google it, you'll recognize it immediately.
