Using Music Programs like Cubase

The program is quite a pain in my ass.
It's so difficult to shift the tracks so that they fit together. I started using metrometer today, this helped a bit. But when I used and played the record I noticed that metrometer and tones doesnt match anymore. Somehow there is always a pause before my playing starts in the record.
For me it is really not hard to make up some melodies, but working with that program is so hard for me -.-

Also finding good vst's seems hard to impossible. I want to make Dragonball music with good trompet like in

getting all those instruments is hard.
