Behringer Teasing Us With an Analog Synth

Demos are starting to trickle out, but I'd much rather see it demoed by someone who actually can play keys instead of sound sculpting dweebs and engineers.

A couple of demos that actually dig a little deeper into the sounds.

It sounds quite excellent!

And a couple of vendors are already accepting pre-orders at $999 USD.

Don't hold your breath though.

Release date is scheduled for late 2016 or early 2017.

My guess is maybe the first thousand units will be ready to ship around next winter's NAMM.

II think I'd seriously consider buying one but I'd have to sell off some other gear first before I even considered it.

Finally we get to hear some of the vanilla presets on this puppy.

Can't remember anymore if the 8 banks of 128 includes user presets or not.

Sounds good to me.

I wonder if any pre-production units have wandered on this side of the pond yet?

Also starting to get itchy to hear a bona fide release date.

Places are accepting pre-orders already but I'm not laying down $1400 CDN and waiting 12 months for one to ship

According to this Synthtopia article Behringer is fishing around to guage interest in a desktop module version at $899 USD.

Well if ya'd like to see this unit available as a desktop module, add your comments to the Synthtopia article linked above.

If Behringer doesn't see the appropriate response then the Deepmind Desktop Module will never come to pass.
