HELP PLS! BEST MIDI SEMI WEIGHTED 76 Or 88 CONTROLLER

I have a triple sensor Fatar T-40 M keybed in my Nord. It's a 73 key waterfall, semi-weighted. It's just OK. I was doing the intro to Locomotive Breath live, and when I play with sensitivity and try to milk every note - a bit of a fail compared to a good acoustic piano. Just commenting. I still find the keybed totally usable. I don't think anyone can notice but me.

Thanks. Will look into it! Will be using it more for synth orchestral stuff. Love that intro by the way.

Crazy, I know: pick up an old Yamaha np 32 if you want USB, np31 if you want 5pin. CHEAP! And not bad spring/semiW keybed

Unfortunately there is only a fully weighted piano action for the Oxygen 88.

Indeed. In the shop. I'm awaiting the total cost verdict. Thanks for your heartfelt understanding and input. My 1/4 cable tapped a metal floor grating and poof.

I'm glad you're getting so much help, but I still need some elucidation here: your 1/4 (presumably TS cable from line out) landed on a metal floor grating then poof...??

Not only am I gutted for you, I'm outright terrified. 50 years of playing keyboards, I've never heard of something like that...?!?!

Same. Was even plugged into a Furman in my studio. Metal to metal freak spark did it. New power board, new main board replacements. $600+ for the repair. Crazy.

Tough time finding a 73 or more controller, semi-weighted with even mono, nevermind poly aftertouch, that has decent keyboard. It seems with 88s there's only fully weighted.

Ok. Just ordered the Arturia KeyLab Essential mk3 88-key Keyboard Controller. Apparently, it's mono aftertouch which is the best I could find with the other specs. Will definitely report back with a test run of the board.​
