so something like that would work for me? I need to run my piano midi out to the JV and PC and from PC to JV midi in and piano midi in. Might be something else I'm forgetting right now. Or maybe you know some other cool connections I should be doing?
Oh btw, I guess those presonus aren't for me yet. I'm mostly composing either by midi or on piano or synth thru the JV. I also like to do the modern player piano (or synth) thing using midis, also recording editing etc. I thought those might help in composing.

As for the MIDI hookup?

You'd be better off hooking each MIDI device directly to the MIDIsport and handle the routing by computer instead of daisy chaining them.

That's how I do it on my system and MIDI lag is not a problem at all, unlike daisy-chaining where each step in the chain adds noticeable lag.
