Looking for a workstation for under 1000$

Hi guys!

So i went and got the Roland Juno DS88. Plays great and It's a real step forward compared to my previous keyboard.

What I would like to know now is how to use an iPad for more complex work (recording, sequencing etc.). If anyone can point me to a website or give me some tips, I would really appreciate it.
