Hello friends,
Can someone please tell me if it's possible to install the motherboard of a PSR SX600 into the body (barebone) of a PSR 670? Has anyone tried this before? I'm asking because I've heard that the motherboard of a PSR 975 can work in the body (barebone) of a PSR 970. I've actually tried this myself and was successful.

My suggestion would be to try and obtain the service manual for both keyboards before going to any expense. You can usually download these for free by just using Google to search. Look closely at the connectors to see if they look identical and also try to see if the board dimensions and fixing holes are similar.

Very often, different models in the same series use the same board but the more advanced one would perhaps have additional components. Good luck.

Little bit different though, because the s970 and the s975 are the *same* keyboard, but with a few install packs preinstalled and a larger expansion ram (and yes, s975 added half bar fills, but the pre-set libraries? were identical) and not suprisingly, the hardware was nearly identical

PSR2000 and PSR2100 were also both based on the same model, ie nearly identical hardware as well. Same goes for CVP209 and CVP210; and more recently CVP809 / CVP909

But outside of that, they've rarely re-used models.
