Gary:) show these Nash's movies. A psychedelic show, as we no longer see in our days. Very cool. Thank you for posting Nash's biography. At that time, 1981, I was studying in Toronto, but I was focused on other things, fundamental for me. A pity, I think I lost a bit of history.

Sadly I have to say that even though I've lived next to Toronto for the past 20 years I only discovered Nash the Slash in the last couple of years after his death as well.

I too feel I have missed out on an opportunity to experience history in the making. :(

As long as we're showing off our national colors here's a few Canadian artists who have made a mark in the past few decades.
Hi Gary
Those are all well respected artists in their own right. Not in my collection but if their songs played on the radio, I would probably hum, sing or tap my feet. No worries.
But, sorry Gary, I cannot get into Nash. I have never heard of him before. I watched your vids. Kinda weird. Even though I usually like weird:cool: this guy doesn't ruffle my feathers at all. But with respect he probably has talent and high regard in Canada. Why the mask?

Ray >>> You may enjoy Nash The Slash's greatest hit, "Wolf."

It shows off his conventional violin skills more. Unfortunately no live videos exist of this performance.

Hermeto Pachoal, the albino and hairy, Brazilian multitalented artist, in his performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1979. A musical genius. This guy is still alive and active, and lives about 40 kilometers from where I Live. Unmissable.

Wow! He looks old in this vid. 1979 was 37 years ago. So now he must be 154 . .
At least he doesn't have a mask . . Lol. Just hair.
You have to appreciate jazz to enjoy that performance.
I enjoyed.:)

Oriane, another Brazilian jazz artist I've been listening to since the 70's is Eumir Deodato. Amazing orchestrations from his group.

Hey, Gary, yes, Eumir is a major (conductor and arranger). Appeared in the Seventies with a great success, Also sprach Zarathustra. An impressive arrangement, very good. Lives in La. I also like the Azymuth group. I've been following them for the past forty years. Very very good. The name of this song is the time ago.
