Ray!!! PMJ have booked a tour down under!!!!
Sorry Gary, I missed this link till now.
I think I am a bit like you, too much efforted needed to venture into the big smoke to see a 2 hour show. But thanks for the heads up.

Did you know? That song in the promo above "land down under" by "men at work" was apparently stolen from another piece of music called "kookaburra sits in the old gum tree"
Colin Hay (from men at work) was sued for plaigiarism. It was just the flute bit which was copyright.
Bloody ridiculous!

She is from Canada.
Absolutely brilliant sultry sexy voice.
Did you know about her Gary?

I have been checking her out . . She has some awesome songs. She is now added to my list of favs.

I'm not as big a fan of Francophone Quebecois artists as I am of the English Artists from the other provinces, but she seems to have a decent voice and speaks English with little to no accent so I assume she's 100% fluently bilingual.

The thing is that a lot of the popular French music in Quebec is political and separatist in nature so I tend to tune out the Francophone voice when I hear it on the radio.

Sorry to say that she still doesn't impress me.

I've seen and heard far too many better Canadian artists who write their own material.

The original song "Roxanne" is one of its kind in a class of its own, a unique and powerful rock ballad.
One would think to rearrange it in any form would surely be a stuff up!

I must say . . "Wow! Pmj, that was superb!"

Who would have thought to make that song boppy and jazzy and that it could sound so good?

A very clever band is pmj.

Good, Ray. A voice and a swing greater than the capacity that she had to understand the world around her. I do not know how these famous surrender to the unknown ... Will the top quality sound and success dulls their minds, so to lose the insight that no longer matters to be alive ... and that everything is paradoxically unbearable to sustain?:(

Another Canadian Legacy. Though he was born in the UK he lived in Canada as a Canadian Citizen from 1978 til his death in 2005...

Without Further Ado...

Don't try to lay no Boogie Woogie on The King of Rock and Roll...

The one, the only, Long John Baldry...

It was top of the charts in Canada when it first came out in the 70's. I bought the album years ago and then subsequently the CD.

If you'd read the wiki you'd know that Baldry toured extensively in Canada while he lived here.

Gary ;)
